Terms of Use

Effective date: July 15, 2026
Version 1.0
Revision history

These Terms govern your use of Directorio Rapido ("we", "us"), an online directory that helps people discover local businesses in Mexico and lets business owners claim and manage their listings. By creating an account or using the directory you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. What Directorio Rapido is — and is not

Directorio Rapido is a discovery and communication platform. We help visitors find businesses, read reviews, and contact them, but we are not a party to any transaction. Any dealing between a visitor and a business — quotes, purchases, bookings, payment, or delivery — happens directly between them. We do not hold funds, guarantee businesses, or take commission on any transaction.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract to use Directorio Rapido. You must provide accurate registration information and keep your contact details current.

3. Accounts and account types

You are responsible for everything that happens under your account, including keeping your password confidential. One account per person.

Directorio Rapido offers two account types:

  • Member — can write reviews and ratings and contact businesses.
  • Business owner — can claim a business listing and, once the claim is approved, manage its information and respond to reviews.

4. Claiming and managing a business

To manage a business listing you must claim it and certify that you are the owner or an authorized representative of that business. Claims are reviewed before they are approved. Once approved, you are responsible for keeping the listing accurate and up to date, and you confirm that the information you publish (name, contact details, address, hours, description, and similar) is correct and that you have the right to represent the business.

We may reject or revoke a claim, or remove a listing, that is inaccurate, misleading, duplicate, fraudulent, or otherwise violates these Terms.

5. Reviews and ratings

Reviews must reflect a genuine, first-hand experience with the business. You agree not to post fake or incentivised reviews, review your own business, or post content that is defamatory, harassing, or unlawful. Business owners may post one public response to each review of their business.

We may moderate, hide, or remove reviews and responses that violate these Terms, and we may feature or order reviews at our discretion. Reviews express the opinions of their authors, not of Directorio Rapido.

6. Messaging and contact

When you contact a business through the directory, keep the conversation on our messaging system where practical. It protects both parties: messages are logged and can be reviewed if a dispute arises. Do not use messaging to spam, harass, or steer people to other platforms.

7. Prohibited content and conduct

You agree not to use Directorio Rapido to:

  • Claim or list a business you do not own or represent, or misrepresent a business.
  • Post fake, incentivised, or retaliatory reviews.
  • Post duplicate listings, spam, advertising for unrelated products, or sexual / hateful / unlawful content.
  • Attempt to scrape, crawl, reverse engineer, or overload the platform.
  • Impersonate another person, business, or Directorio Rapido itself.
  • Use the platform to facilitate fraud, money laundering, or any illegal activity.

8. Reporting

Reviews and listings can be reported. If you spot content or a member that violates these Terms, please report it. Reports are reviewed by our moderation team and acted on at our discretion.

9. Moderation, suspension, and disabled accounts

We may, at our discretion and with or without notice: reject or remove listings and reviews, restrict or disable accounts, and remove content that violates these Terms or the law. We may also share information with authorities if required by Mexican law.

10. Email and notifications

Directorio Rapido sends transactional emails (account verification, new messages, claim approvals, new reviews, and administrative notices). Account-critical emails (such as verification) cannot be turned off while your account is active.

11. Intellectual property

The Directorio Rapido brand, software, and site design are our property. By posting content on the directory (business information, reviews, messages) you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute that content as necessary to operate the platform. You retain ownership of your content.

12. Privacy

Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which is part of these Terms.

13. Disclaimers

Directorio Rapido is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by Mexican law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the directory will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that listings and reviews are accurate, complete, or current.

14. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Mexican law, Directorio Rapido is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, including loss of opportunity or loss of data, arising out of your use of the directory or any dealing with a business or member. In all cases our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim (which for free accounts is zero).

15. Indemnity

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Directorio Rapido and its operators from any claim arising out of (i) content you post, (ii) your use of the platform, (iii) your violation of these Terms or applicable law, and (iv) your interactions with other members or businesses.

16. Modifications

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in a new effective date at the top of this page and recorded in the Revision history below. Continued use of Directorio Rapido after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

17. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Mexico. Disputes arising out of or related to these Terms will be resolved in the competent courts of Mexico, except where mandatory consumer-protection law assigns a different venue.

18. Contact

Questions about these Terms can be sent to gustavo@pragmaticode.com.
