Cookie Policy

Effective date: July 15, 2026
Version 1.0
Revision history

This Cookie Policy explains the small files Directorio Rapido stores on your device when you use the directory, what each one does, and how to control them.

1. What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file your browser stores when you visit a website. Cookies let the site remember things about your visit — like that you are signed in — so the experience feels continuous rather than starting from scratch on every page load.

2. Cookies we set

Directorio Rapido uses a small, deliberate set of first-party cookies. We do not currently embed third-party advertising or social-tracking cookies.

Cookie Purpose Lifetime Category
wordpress_logged_in_*
wordpress_sec_*
Keeps you signed in across pages. Without these, every click would log you out. Session — or up to 14 days when you check "Remember me". Essential
wp-settings-* Stores small interface preferences while you are logged in. 1 year Essential
PHPSESSID Maintains your session on the server during a single visit so forms behave consistently. Session (deleted when you close the browser) Essential
wordpress_test_cookie Checks that your browser accepts cookies at all before completing sign-in. Session Essential

3. Cookie categories explained

  • Essential — cookies required for the basic operation of the site. Disabling them breaks features like sign-in.
  • Analytics — cookies that measure aggregate, anonymised usage to help us improve the directory. These are not yet in use (see below).

4. Third-party cookies

Directorio Rapido does not currently set advertising, retargeting, social-tracking, or analytics cookies. We plan to add Google Analytics to understand aggregate, anonymised usage. When it goes live, its cookies (such as _ga and _gid) will be listed in the inventory above, this section will be revised, and the effective date will be updated.

5. How to manage cookies

You can delete, block, or accept cookies from your browser settings:

Blocking essential cookies will break parts of the site — most importantly, sign-in.

6. Local storage and similar technologies

In addition to cookies, modern browsers also support localStorage and sessionStorage. Directorio Rapido does not currently rely on either of these to track you.

7. Updates

When we add or remove a cookie we will update the inventory above and bump the effective date. Older versions remain available in the Revision history.
